Could this really be happening?

What we thought was only and eye condition, may be much more. Hanna had blood tests done in Toronto which came back with amino acid results very elevated. This could mean some sort of metabolic disorder. They ordered a second test to be done. This time Hanna fasted. Don't ask me why they didn't tell us to make her fast for the first one. Hopefully all comes back clear this time, and it was only something she ate that elevated her amino acids the first time.

They also found a heart murmur. They seemed pretty concerned about it. Concerned enough that she's scheduled for an echocardiogram in a couple weeks. We weren't expecting this. A heart murmur? Apparently many babies have murmurs.

A heart murmur is an extra or unusual sound heard during a heartbeat. Murmurs range from very faint to very loud. They sometimes sound like a whooshing or swishing noise. Sometimes this sound is heard because of abnormal function of the heart valves. So of course we're praying and hoping that everything comes back normal.

Right now all we can do is take each day as it comes and hope for the best.
