Bad quality, but I had to get her hair.

So, I mentioned in my last post that Little Miss still only had two teeth. Yesterday another one made it through! I know it happened yesterday because I have been waiting, and checking every day. Those gums have been so swollen.
Listen to how smart my mom is.
She came up with the brilliant idea to put messy, spoon worthy foods into an ice cream cone! We went over there last night for Sunday dinner, and we stuck mashed potatoes in there. She's at the point now where she's using a spoon, but not getting as much as I'd like into her mouth, and most on the floor, in the chair, or her hair.
This was a great idea! It kept her busy, and she ate a lot.
I spent the day cleaning today, so when lunch time came along, I stuck some yogurt in a mini cone (picture above), and it lasted much longer than a bowl would have, so I got more done than I would have otherwise.
Yay for my very smart mom!!
In other very big news:
Gracie is riding a two wheeler now!! We took the training wheels off, and yesterday we went for a walk. She asked to take her bike to practice without her trainers. She put her feet on the pedals, and just kept going! She rode straight to the park without stopping. She's a pro already! Her 5th birthday is April 10th, and she asked us for some "knee helmets". We'll have to pick some up because I'm sure they will come in handy now!
Happy Monday everyone!

Baby girl, you have been quite the addition to our family.
You love your sisters! You're always happy when you're around them, and they're the only ones who can make you laugh.
You seriously enjoy sweets, and have a very bad temper when you run out of them. A very. bad. temper.
You're still nursing, but barely. You eat and drink everything now, so you're not very interested any more, except at night. Of course! :)
I love your eyes! You have blue eyes like your sisters, but they're different. I think you have eyes like your Great Pappy had, so I love looking into them.
You're hair is different too. It's really thick, and really blond. I'm thinking you'll be a little bit strawberry blonde!
You still have just the two teeth! The lack of chompers doesn't stop you from eating everything though. At least most of things going in your mouth these days are indeed, edible.
You are walking now. Took your first steps at 7 months old, and now have it mastered, even wearing shoes (which usually are torn off immediately). Michelle says you walk like an old lady with a walker, and it's so true...but the cutest thing I think, ever.
You're growing up way too fast. I say it every month, but please, please slow down!

Last night I brought the two biggest girls upstairs to brush their teeth and get ready for bed. They were both very willing to go to bed after playing hard in the sun all day. Gracie says "Do you wanna sleep with me tonight, Hanna?"
Hanna got so excited, and yelled "Yeeaaah!!"
Do you remember their new bed? Oh no. That is too high for her!
But, how could I tell her she wasn't allowed to sleep with her sister?
She climbed right on up that ladder and laid down on that pillow with the biggest grin on her face.
I gave them both kisses and expected to hear Hanna's little voice calling me back in before making my way downstairs.
I didn't want to bug in case she really was going to go to sleep.
I waited some more.
About an hour later, I checked, and Hanna was still awake. Actually sitting up in the dark, playing with their night light. She was happy, and didn't notice me, so I left her be.
I gave her another half hour and checked again. She was out.
How was I supposed to sleep knowing she was up there? What if she woke up and forgot where she was? I didn't want her trying to get down the bed in the dark.
I brought my computer upstairs and sat in bed, doing countless things to keep me entertained. And awake.
Hailey in her crib, both girls sleeping in their own bed, and I have the bed to myself.
This does not happen.
Yet, I spent the entire time worrying myself sick about the petite little girl 15 feet down the hall.
Finally around 2:20, now with Hailey sleeping next to me, I laid down and knew that I would wake up if I heard anything at all from their room.
Half an hour later, she called for me. I got up and out of my bed in record time and in complete panic.
Everyone ended up in bed with me for the rest of the night. I slept good for those last hours, knowing everyone was safe.
Tonight, the story repeats itself.
Here I am, awake...and listening.
I need a better plan....

I've mentioned Steph on here before. Not only is she my best friend (and has been since we were 6), but she also takes some pretty awesome pictures. She asked me a while back if she could use Fluffy (our bunny) in her Easter shoots, and wanted to do a trial run with him to see how active he was. She offered to do a shoot with the girls on the day we dropped him off, and they turned out adorable! I love the vintage theme. Too cute!
You would think there was really tea in those cups!
We couldn't keep the baby from munching on the Triscuits.
I don't know why, but I love the crying picture!
Thanks Steph! We love the pictures, and the girls had a blast!

Gracie went over to the neighbors for a little while today, and Hanna felt pretty left out. When I told her I needed to go to town, and mentioned an icey coffee treat, she perked right up.
We went into town, got what I needed, and I thought I'd see if I could find some petite sandals for her teeny feet. She's in a size 5 now. Gracie was in a size 5 before she was 2, and I thought she had small feet! Crazy.
We found some pretty snazzy flip flops for her that fit nice and snug, so she can even walk in them.
All she kept saying after we picked them out was "Nanny! Nanny!" and then rehearsed in the car what she would tell her on the phone when we got home. She had to call her.
Check out her big girl feet in her beautiful new "tee-oos"
I love how excited she gets over such little things, and I love even more how she thinks of Nanny first, to show how excited she really is.

is now walking more than she is crawling.
She stands up now in the middle of the floor, and gets anywhere she wants. Including up the stairs...and out the back door...and into the girls' chairs...and into the sandbox...
She's also trying (let's see how long it takes her) to get up onto the couches.
Lord, help me?

And of course that means that everyone spends the entire day outside!
With their best friends.
Some just hung out and watched ;)
A couple took off boots and ran in the muddiest, wettest spots and got extremely dirty.
A wonderful day was had by all.
