school and a future giveaway

Gracie's been back to school for a week already. I can't believe how fast the days go by now. 

We're so ahead with the curriculum we've been following, but we're keeping busy, and we'll stay busy until the end of the year.

She's a pretty good little reader already, so I try to keep up with the reading more than anything. I'm trying not to be too ahead in the work books, so I've added a strict printing period and reading studies to our days. I've found some really cute books at the library that will make for some awesome little unit studies that I think she'll really like. 

I'm happy with how we're doing, but honestly, nervous about next year already. 

Hanna will be right in there with her next year, and I'm afraid I won't be enough for her. She is obviously going to be a bit tougher than Gracie to teach.

My mom does Respite Services, and has wanted to start with Hanna once a week and work on certain goals. I think that's just what she needs. We still have Co-op once a week, but Hanna will also go once a week with my mom to a local Early Years Center, so again, she can be with other kids and participate in different activities. I think it's a great idea, and it will even help me focus on just Gracie that day since she said she can also take Hailey! I'm not sure yet I'll take her up on that offer, (I think that's a bit much!) but we'll see!

     I'm nervous, but I know we have access to different programs and even aids for Hanna if I need them. I think keeping her home will be challenging, but I know it will be the best way to go for her.

 

In other news,  I'm going to be hosting a giveaway soon. I normally don't like to do giveaways or reviews on my blog, because I like to keep it mainly a journal of our life, but when Liz from My Memories contacted me, I jumped at the opportunity. 

I was given a copy of My Memories Suite Digital Scrap-booking Software to review and giveaway. I've been playing with it a lot lately, and it's pretty darn cool. I've already made an invitation, cupcake toppers and my blog header! :)
