Hanna's GI update

Hanna had her visit with the GI doctor today. She was a little bit uneasy to go, being not the biggest fan of doctors.
We talked in the van all the way to the city, and after being told we'd do a little bit of shopping afterwards, she was in a fairly good mood when we got there.

We immediately got sent to a room to wait for her doctor, and she sang. The entire time.
Hanna is a singer. She's got a very little voice, but a very high pitched singing voice. One that stays very much in tune (most of the time).
Eventually she noticed the scale in the corner of the room, and asked me to weigh her. I was very pleased to see that she is now a whopping 24 and a 1/2 pounds!

Her doctor came in a few minutes after that, after overhearing us talking about her growing and of course her singing. He came in happily and said how good she looked (and sounded).
:)
What I didn't realize was that she actually lost a pound 3 months ago when we were in. He told me she just didn't gain any. She started at 23 pounds, then three months later, she lost a pound. Three months after that (today) she gained 2 and a half. So that's great news! I'm happy with that. She's drinking a lot of Carnation Breakfast right now, just supplementing what she already eats, which is a lot for such a little girl. Hopefully we'll only see gaining in the future. She can't afford to lose any weight, that's for sure.

He also told me to keep her on the Prevacid for 3 more months and we'll see how she does. Maybe even get her off of it after that. She's been doing good. No major stomach issues for a while, so that's more good news.

Next up, the optometrist!

Let's just hope that's another good visit.
