My favourite day of the week is by far Sundays. We go to Mom and Dad's for dinner and it's definitely not about the food, but the food is definitely a bonus.
We all go, and it's just an excuse to get together, talk about our weeks, and simply, hang out.
The kids look forward to it just as much because it's the one day a week they can count on all ten of them being together, and of course catching up with Nanny and Pappy.
On top of a huge meal every week for eighteen mouths, this is just an ounce of the disaster that my mom graciously deals with every single Sunday.

Some days I totally neglect Hailey and Ben because they're not in school. Gracie and Hanna get dressed, and brush their hair, and brush their teeth, do their little chores, and sit at the table for school.
Hailey is usually already sitting at the table busy with a drawing by the time the girls sit down, and Ben is happy to watch a few cartoons until Hailey's done her drawing and then they both go off and play. I let them do their thing, so I can work with the girls, and sometimes I don't even get the poor kids dressed!
Homeschooling is tough! Honestly, I don't know if it's harder that there's only two doing structured work, or if it's going to get harder the more that start! Oh boy.
All I know is that some days are harder than others, and right now we're doing pretty good.
Gracie's doing great. Above her grade level in math, and is already almost finished her english, grammar and reading comprehension books this year.
Hanna is doing really great too! She is passing her grade level with flying colours in most math areas, and loves listening to her audio books and being tested afterward. She's doing great! Reading is hard, understandably, and it frustrates both of us. I feel good about what we're doing though, and I'm seeing great progress and I think that's what's most important.
The weather is giving us good days here and there, and today was one of the good ones. We finished school as fast as we could, and everyone ran outside as soon as we could. Notice that Hailey and Ben are both in pajamas. They stayed like that all day.
Life is good.
We're all happy and content.
I'll take it.

I had big plans for tonight. The kids were all asleep by 9:30, so I actually got a workout in before 10 for once. I sanded, stripped, and stained the table, and hoped to get a coat of polyurethane on before bed.
While I waited for the stain to dry I put a load of laundry in, then popped open the laptop to edit some photos with Netflix on in the background. I even had some dark chocolate to snack on! It was nice!
For about 30 minutes.
Benny came out of my room, completely broken-hearted because "daddy was sleeping with me and then left me all alone in his room..."
Matt had to leave for work and the poor little guy wasn't expecting to wake up alone in the middle of the night. Ben came and sat with me, begging me to go to bed. I told him I only would if he let me take his picture. (I didn't get my photo for the day.) So he did. Doesn't he look impressed?
And that was it. The night ended there. At least I got a few things done, but the rest could wait. My baby needed me.

We had zero plans for March break this year. I was looking forward to the break, and the kids were more than happy to just have a week of no school. No fancy plans required.
Of course Bryanna came and stayed with us for a few days, which is always a nice change.
I took these photos around midnight. The girls were still awake, just playing and being silly when I realized I hadn't taken my picture of the day. So, I went outside with Yuli to see what we could find to be a good photo subject. It had just snowed again, so we thought we'd maybe be able to get a cool shot of the snow in the light or something.
Instead, the girls became our subjects. Crazy kids!
